The Sun Ra Arkestra is an avant-garde jazz ensemble founded by the experimental jazz composer, bandleader, piano and synthesizer player Sun Ra. Known for its eclectic and innovative style, the Arkestra continues to perform and tour under the direction of saxophonist Marshall Allen.
